Cody and I went on a legit date (first one, I think, since we got back to school! LOL) the other day to Fort Madison, ate pizza, and went down to the river. There was a veritable wealth of great pictures, but here are my favorites.

My apologies. I probably won't be on much this summer due to multiple things: A. I'm hardly on the internet at home, B. I work here and there =), and C. I'm usually at Cody's. LOL But I got nothin today, so...FOODS!!

My DE-FREAKIN'-LICIOUS salsa I made using a recipe out of Cosmo. If anyone wants it, I'll post it in the replies.

Oh, and it was P's birthday yesterday too...I did her cake, and it's very close to being a CakeWreck (for those of you who don't know what I'm talking about...http://cakewrecks.blogspot.com/ ) but it'll do. It was delicious, by any means. LOL

Sorry for the long pause there! Probably there will be a lot of those this summer...I'll be WORKIN'! lol Also, it's finals week (FINALLY!)

LD and I decided that once a year, we'd get pedicures. This is the result. =)

For Micro, we had to figure out two unknown (to us anyway) bacteria by growing them on different agar media plates. Aren't they pretty? If you want more info on what's going on there, or what our bacteria were, go ahead and ask. *I* know what's going on! LOL

SENOR GOOSE! We have 2 geese that come back every year to the pond and have some babies. They're super cute, but here's daddy(??) goose.

I had a great weekend with Paige, Lindsi, and Cody up in Ames. =) Since P thinks she wants to go to ISU (I know...*sigh* lol) Cody offered to show her around and show her some of the buildings she'll be in. It rained the whole day, but it was still great. So, thanks, Toady!! =) We went to Hickory Park afterward for dinner, and had a 40 minute wait, so we had to do SOMETHING. These are 3 of my favorite pictures from the wait.

I don't even know what to say about this...I think I blame this on our father? LOL

Today was super nice out...tomorrow's supposed to be even better. But as I was walking back from the library, I caught a whiff of some guy's cologne and then the smell of clean laundry (because someone in Gaass was clearly doing laundry) and I smiled, because it was so nice out, and the cologne reminded me of Cody, and laundry always smells good, and it was sunny...I just LOVE days like that--where one thing makes you smile when you're all alone. Like a private joke. =)

Also, shout out to my daddy, who was upset he didn't get recognition for sending me my cake (which I am going to have a slice of now...). I am supposed to say how big and awesome he is. So. He is big and awesome. =) Wuv you daddy!

Anyway, today's photos are brought to you a month behind schedule...=) This is my new baby--my pink LG slider. It has been brought into my life by 2 weeks of having either a crap phone whose battery died within about 5 hours of charging it "completely" or having a crap 5 year old Kyocera with no reception.

I love this guy--sorry for the poor-ish quality. The lighting in here SUCKS so I couldn't use my flash because when I did, it'd wash out the color and I wanted you cats to see the pink! =D

Closeup! I know, my wallpaper is fabulous (except Cody's face isn't purple on the actual WP). I, especially, am the epitome of class.

I am taking a break from writing a paper to tell you a FUN story! So I got an e-mail yesterday from the help desk that I'd gotten something. I was fairly excited--usually there are flowers and balloons there, because the post office can't hold them back there. Well, and then I was like, "Oh, crap, did I lose something?" cause they also hold valuables that have been misplaced. But I was leaning more toward "WHEE FUN THINGS!" LaDonna and I went there before dinner at CUIFS and this is what i was given.

Why, yes, that IS an Happy "Early" Birthday Kirstie-with-an-i-that-was-clearly-put-on-as-a-second-thought german chocolate cake! Green and yellow? I didn't know I was a Packers fan! But it WAS fun to bring it to Cuifs and the library and have Rachel ask me why I had a cake and if I was going to share...LOL So thank you, mommy!! =)

Okay. Back to work. *deep sigh*

Today was pretty darn nice out (like upper 60's!), so LaDonna and I went on a walk. =) Also, I promised you a final picture of the tye-dye experience...
...turns out that tye-dying is probably not in my future. However, another pajama shirt is...lol The "Reach Out, Speak Out" is for sexual assult or something?

But check out this biznach! New shirt! That I did NOT make! =D A little over a dollar went to the WWF (not the wrestling thing...LOL) for purchasing this shirt...ON SALE!

K, I'm back. It'll be extremely sporadic since the end of the semester's coming up, but still...it's here. LOL I'll give you two pictures because, you know, i've been bad. =)

We're doing a thing here at Central--not sure what it's for, but it's cool. If you wantd, you could write what you're passionate about on a ribbon, such as this. I *am* passionate about science, but had I thought about it a little longer, I could have done many other things. Child abuse, equal marriage rights, keeping the arts in school...

This is the still damp tye-dye shirt I made today for sexual abuse week? I think that's what it's for. LOL I'll post a picture tomorrowish probably with the finished product. I don't think it'll be that great, but hey, it was free!! (and yes, I am aware that it looks kind of like a uterus. ><)

Okay, so these are EDITED photos I took today...but I want opinions. I want to know which one you like best, and suggestions on how to make them better, if any. I mean, I'm not needing it for a class or anything, I just want to know your opinions. Also, I don't know if anyone was wondering (probably not, LOL), but all were done with a sharpie and my hand. =)

Dance 1. I know, I'm creative. This I didn't do a ton with, copied the text and pasted it separately, and made the bottom black and white, and then lowered the opacity of the pasted text. I really like the coloring of the text.

Dance 2-- I cheated and used a pre-made function (time machine...lol) and used one of the options on that.

Another simple one--changed it to b&w, then messed with the curves. I like the perspective on this guy...plus, you know, I like the two names mentioned above. =)

I think this one's kinda neat. Makes me a little dizzy actually, but I'm gonna say this one is my favorite. Copied and pasted the text separately, then changed the color of the text, and then did the background b&w. Messed with the curves, too.

SORRY FOR THE HIATUS OUT OF THE BLUE IT IS CALLED SPRING BREAK AND I WAS DOING FUN THINGS (like having a broken phone and getting false moustache hair in my mouth and eyes). I like when professors do what I ask them to. LOL Dr. Weihe was erasing the board and I asked him to keep this on the board...and then Dr. Barnett pretty much wrote around it. XD I love my professors!!

Tuesday and Thursday=MICRO LAB DAY. Today is not only brought to you by micro lab, it is also brought to you by Genetics lab, and it involves ironic/hilarious things we have in lab. LAB LAB LAB LAB LAB.

I find it hilarious, as a granddaughter of a former funeral director, that the 'fly morgue' is what, ethanol? Some sort of alcohol that kills fruit flies. =) Oh, and yes, if you're wondering, that IS about half an inch worth of dead fruit flies.

IRONY. The tape says "Please leave the balance here." And that is the type of thing that happens at this school. XD

I fail at this! LOL LaDonna and I went to the mall yesterday to get some bulk paper from Archiver's (yaaaay!), party supplies from the party store, and just to be girlie. Auntie Ann's called toward the end of the excursion, and we each got a Garlic pretzel and a carbonated beverage. I photographed the pithy quote on my soft drink cup. (Hey, I'm listening to CLASSY STUFF right now. I feel the need to sound aristocratic. LOL)
