Shelf reading is a tedious thing that is part of every circ desk student's job at the library. Last semester I had to shelfread the 200's, which is the Religion section. NOT my so much my thing. This semester though...
I like shelfreading the 500s. =) This is what's included.

Tuesday and Thursday=MICRO LAB DAY. Today is not only brought to you by micro lab, it is also brought to you by Genetics lab, and it involves ironic/hilarious things we have in lab. LAB LAB LAB LAB LAB.

I find it hilarious, as a granddaughter of a former funeral director, that the 'fly morgue' is what, ethanol? Some sort of alcohol that kills fruit flies. =) Oh, and yes, if you're wondering, that IS about half an inch worth of dead fruit flies.

IRONY. The tape says "Please leave the balance here." And that is the type of thing that happens at this school. XD

I am so devoted--I have homework coming out of my ears and I STILL took time to take this for you. I'm so nice. LOL

This is what happens in Genetics lab. Yes, you ARE seeing fruit flies with top hats, leotards, and wifebeaters/guns/beer. And yes, Wifebeater fly does have a stringy comb-over. This is what you're paying for for me to go to a private school, mother! LOL

Yesterday, I went to a Mentalist, who was REDICULOUSLY AWESOME, but there weren't any real good picture taking opportunities. If there had been I would have used those today, but instead, you get this.

I fail at this! LOL LaDonna and I went to the mall yesterday to get some bulk paper from Archiver's (yaaaay!), party supplies from the party store, and just to be girlie. Auntie Ann's called toward the end of the excursion, and we each got a Garlic pretzel and a carbonated beverage. I photographed the pithy quote on my soft drink cup. (Hey, I'm listening to CLASSY STUFF right now. I feel the need to sound aristocratic. LOL)
It's a sad sad story...but a true one.

Micro lab is always fun. Today LaDonna decided to draw on the board because we were...bored. LaDonna drew the world and the song (it's stuck in your head now, isn't it?), and I drew senor partrige. Yes. I know you're jealous. lol

Today was "Appreciate Your Current Job Because You Could Still Be Working At CUIFS" day. LOL Boooooooooks. And yes, I was slightly too lazy to even try to put on any sort of makeup this morning. LOL

I went up to Ames for Valentine's Day. We went to Hickory Park (Yum!) followed by Coldstone Creamery (YUM-ER!) Then we came back and watched a few shows on TV while being silly. =)

Why is it that when these stinkin' keys are put back on my little pin where they're supposed to be, when I get up and ready to go somewhere, I can't find them? I look everywhere for them, and of course they're just sittin' there on their pin. So this is to you, keys. They're surrounded by a Twilight poster, A bird/flower thing, a picture of Cody, and Josh!Clock. My favorite! =)

Again, I missed the opportunity to show you my delicious chinese food that I had for dinner. FAIL! I also failed at the chance to take a picture of a girl, who was completely by herself, no less, who was frolicking and dancing along the sidewalk from Geisler to who knows where. She was hardcore Disney-Princess-Dancing-Through-the-Forest-ing. Hilarious! But, I did not miss the opportunity to show you the slightly less delicious, albeit yummy fortune cookie I had.

I had fun with Lindsi today--I walked her around campus a bit, bought her a shirt from the bookstore (for her birthday...=]) and then went to Smokey Row for lunch. Had I been thinking ahead, I would have taken a picture of that. However, you get this instead.

What I came back to on the boards after eating dinner at Pizza Ranch with the Tillos. =) LaDonna's board says "Der be a black hole der matey...ye be warned. ", and she wrote that. LOL The heart is from Lindsi, and clearly, what's written on my board is from Emily. =)

Today was AMAZING--59 degrees! In addition to this goodness, my 8:00 class was cancelled (although we didn't find out until we'd sat there in class for 10 minutes...lol) AND I had fairly solid food for breakfast/lunch (still hurt, but it's less painful than 3 days ago!) And then in addition to that goodness, this came in the mail!

Thanks, mommy! =D I heart it! So much pink and red!!

Also, I want to pay homage to Mr. Penguin Soap Guy that I got for Christmas. =)

This is a terrible picture, but it's still neat. It's a Gram stain of E-Coli and Bacillus Subtilis. =) The little dots are E-Coli and the longer stuff is the Bacillus.

I'm going to take a small hiatus from this until I get better. The rest of me is okay, now it's tackling the task of shrinking my gums and making them hurt less (On a scale of 1-10 where 1 is they don't hurt and 10 is my mouth is going to fall off, they're at about an 8.)
